Katbeary Okino, April 21, 1996 - December 25, 2007
Griffey, Kaiya and I are very sad to tell you that Katbeary passed away this afternoon. She had a heart of gold but it just could not survive the tumor that treacherously grew on it. For the past three days she gave a brave fight but knew it was time to go to the Rainbow Bridge.
During her "reign" at Meowscape.com, she took delight in sneaking in extra pieces of fabric to those who generously sewed cat toys for their local shelter. She ruled with an iron paw but was a softie inside!
We would be very honored if all her furriends who bought fabric at Katbeary's Fabric Shoppe would donate a toy (dog or cat) to your local animal shelter in her memory.
The Fabric Shoppe will go on but has lost it's heart and soul. Griffey and Kaiya promise to step up and carry on with the spirit that Katbeary had.

It's Thanksgiving time again and we have many things to be thankful for! Most impurrtantly, we are very thankful for all our wonderfur customers/furriends who visit us at Meowscape.com. We hope you and your families are warm and furry as the weather gets colder. Have a great turkey day and remember to take a nap after dinner!

Greetingz effurryone!
Anofur lazy day here on the Oregon Coast! I'm taking a break furrom my spot of sun tu check in with yew all. We haven't bin getting tew many new fabrics in lately but are expecting sum from Kaufman next week. I'll have my assistant get them online quickly az soon az they arrive.
We hope yew had a pleasant Memorial Day weekend and remembered all who have given so much fur us all. I'll be writing again soon az I catch up on my napping!

Befur I get tew distrakted, we want tu send our heartfelt purrs tu the students, faculty and the families who were touched by the tragedy at Virginia Tech. We were very saddened tu hear such terrible news!
We are still getting nu fabrics in and hope you'll keep checking back often! We haf the wonderfur collection "Country Cousins" by the great Warren Kimbal and lots ov ofur neat prints that I no yu just can't live without! (I hope!)
Bad news iz that the United States Postal Service iz raising rates on May 14th. Az alwayz, we will continue tu adjust your shipping costs to insure yu the lowest pozzible cost! (I don't pad my tuna fund by overcharging on shipping!)

Sinz I last wrote, Shirley haz been tu the Northwest Fabric Show and found sum more kitty fabrics fur yew all. They r starting tu come in alreddy so be on the lookout in the "New Fabrics" section! We haf lotz ov new Christmas prints on order, so get your project plans started! (It's nefur too early!)
Griffey, Kaiya and I r reddy fur Spring tu come! Cabin fever iz taking over even though we're too scared tu go outside by ourselves. Every time we try tu go out on the deck, that loud old Coast Guard helibirdy machine flys overhead and we haf tu run fur our lives back inside.
We hope fur nice weather and full stomachs fur efurryone!

It seemz az if it'z MY job tu keep up with thiz blog since someone else iz tuu buzy tu write! Ok then! We hope efurryone iz safe and warm thiz winter. I haf been furry buzy organizing the nu Fat Quarter section ov the website. Shirley thinkz I'm getting crabby with all the cutting and folding! Ha! It just so happenz I'm just naturally crabby in my own charming way. It takez a lot ov werk on my part but I hav a reputation tu keep up!
This month iz the Northwest Fabric Show where I am sending my helper tu buy sum more grate fabrics fur yew. Look fur them in the next few months!

Happy holidays evfurryone!
Griffey, Kaiya and I r furry bizze getting reddy fur the holiday seesun. Since there's not much sunshine to snooze in I'm starting tu get a little crabby and need sumthing tu keep me occupied. So, I hope yew decide yew need more fabric and see that all you're furriends could use a yard or tu as a Christmas prezzie. There's so manee things they could make!
